Corey Stone

Assistant Director of Operations at Alerus Center

Corey Stone is currently an Operations Supervisor at Alerus Center. Prior to that, they worked as an Operations Supervisor at Spectra from September 2021 to July 2022. In this role, they were responsible for managing all services and activities involved in the operations of all venue and exhibition & convention spaces. This included interviewing, selecting, training, coaching, evaluating, and disciplining full and part time staff. Corey was also responsible for delivering and following up on Performance Improvement procedures on a timely basis. Additionally, they led / coordinated staff training and safety programs, and assisted or led planning, directing, coordinating and review of work plans for facility operations.

Corey Stone has a Bachelor of Science from Georgia Southern University, with a double minor in business and management. They are certified in bomb prevention and awareness from FEMA, and certified event planning specialist 2e from the National Career Certification Board. They are also certified in sensory inclusive training from KultureCity, and trained crowd manager from the International Association of Venue Managers. Lastly, they are certified in adult and pediatric first aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross Training Services, and OSHA certified forklift operator from Forklift Academy, Inc.
