Larry Grate Pe, Gicsp, Cissp

Larry Grate, PE, GICSP, CISSP has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Larry is currently working at Aleta Technologies, Inc. as the Director of OT Cyber, responsible for overseeing cyber operations in operational technology systems. Prior to this, they served as a Control System Cyber SME at the same company.

From 2007 to 2022, Larry worked at EOSYS, initially as an Account Delivery Manager and later as the Director of Technology. In these roles, they were responsible for managing client accounts and overseeing technology-related operations.

Before joining EOSYS, Larry was the Owner of Genesis Systems and Analysis from 2004 to 2007, where they handled various business operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Engineer at Mercer University from 2001 to 2004.

Larry also has experience as a business owner, having founded and operated SysCon Engineering from 1997 to 2001. Before that, they worked as an Engineer at Southeast Paper Company and J. M. Huber.

Larry's career began at ABB in 1989, where they worked as an Engineer for three years before moving on to J. M. Huber. Overall, Larry Grate has demonstrated expertise in the field of engineering, technology, and cyber operations throughout their career.

Larry Grate completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University, which they attended from 1987 to 1990. Later, in 2019 to 2020, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Cybersecurity from St. Bonaventure University.

Larry Grate holds various certifications that further showcase their expertise. In 1996, they obtained a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the State of Georgia. Additionally, they have obtained the Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification from the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in May 2017. Larry also holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)², obtained in July 2021. Other certifications include Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), both received in February 2020, and various other industry certifications from Cisco, VMware, and GIAC.
