Emre Ferhatoglu has a diverse work experience in the field of software development/engineering. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo - Faculty of Mathematics, where they graded assessments and exams, verified question quality, and assisted students virtually. In 2021, Emre was a Software Engineer at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering - University of Waterloo, where they assisted with research on developing rapid scan-to-BIM methods and developed algorithms in Unity. From 2022 to 2023, Emre worked at the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health as a Software Engineer, where they migrated tests for Dockerized Java applications and developed an authorization standard implementation using Node.js and Express. Currently, Emre is a Software Developer at Alethea Medical, starting in 2023.

Emre Ferhatoglu is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Waterloo, which they started in 2018 and is expected to complete in 2023. Prior to enrolling at the University of Waterloo, Emre attended Robert College from 2013 to 2018, where they did not obtain a specific degree or field of study. In addition to their formal education, Emre has obtained several certifications including "Preparing for Google Cloud Certification: Cloud Engineer Specialization" from Coursera in August 2022, "The Ultimate MySQL Bootcamp: Go from SQL Beginner to Expert" from Udemy in July 2022, and "The Web Developer Bootcamp 2022" from Udemy in May 2022.
