Rafael Maciel Ioris

Rafael Maciel Ioris has worked in a variety of positions in the field of biological sciences since 2008. Starting in 2008, they worked as a Biological Sciences Teacher for the Government of Paraná. In 2009, they worked as a Project Assistant at the Technological Park of Pato Branco, as well as a Biological Sciences Tutor at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. From 2010 to 2014, they worked as a Biological Sciences Teacher at Aguia School. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Geneva and then at the University of Oxford. Currently, they are a Senior Research Scientist at Alethiomics, where they work on uncovering new biology to discover and develop life changing treatments for patients with blood cancer.

Rafael Maciel Ioris obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa in 2004. Rafael then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universidade Federal do Paraná in 2008. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cancer and Metabolism from the University of Geneva in 2018.
