Bob Romkes has a diverse background in design, specifically in the automotive industry. Bob started their career at Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. as a Motorcycle Designer from October 2006 to September 2007. Bob then worked at Toyota Motor Corporation as an Exterior Designer for two months in 2008. From 2010 to 2014, Bob worked as an Exterior Designer for Citroën. Bob then joined DS Automobiles in 2014, where they held the position of Senior Exterior Designer until June 2021, after which they became the Master Designer Exteriors until November 2022. Currently, Bob is the Head of Exterior Design at Alfa Romeo, starting in October 2022.
Bob Romkes attended the Royal College of Art from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Vehicle Design. Prior to that, they studied at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2001 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Product Design. In 2009, Bob Romkes also obtained an Alias modelling certificate from Majenta Academy in Essex, UK.
