Technical Project Manager / Explosives Engineer at Alford

Andy Carss QGM MIExpE has over 20 years of experience in explosives engineering and project management. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Instructor and DS for EOD training at Defence EOD School - TDV, and then as Chief Diver at Royal Navy - Southern Diving Unit 2 from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they became a Diving Standards Inspector - Air for the Royal Navy, and in 2006, they were a Course Officer at Defence Diving School. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Diving & EOD Capability Manager at Navy Command HQ, and then from 2011 to 2017, they were a Diving Life Support Naval Applicator at MOD UK. Andy has been with Alford Technologies since 2017, where they are a Technical Project Manager and Explosives Engineer for C-IED projects and maritime EOD. Andy is responsible for trials and development of products, training and demonstrations of company products world wide, and is a Maritime SME.

Andy Carss QGM MIExpE began their education at Tynemouth, before continuing on to Tynemouth Sixth Form Collage to study Design Tech.
