Deniz Vural

Deniz Vural is currently a PhD student at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, since January 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a researcher at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey MAM Polar Research Institute from September 2020 to December 2022 and undertaking a research internship at the ITU Polar Research Center from September 2017 to January 2018. Earlier in the career, Deniz Vural worked as an engine cadet at Ince Shipping Group from February 2016 to August 2016. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Geosciences from the University of Potsdam (2019 - 2020), a Master of Engineering in Geological/Geophysical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (2018 - 2019), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering from Istanbul Technical University (2012 - 2017).
