Caroline Anne McKeon

Caroline Anne McKeon is a co-founder and chief scientific officer at Alga Biosciences, with extensive experience in physical chemistry research and instruction at the University of California, Berkeley and Berkeley Lab from July 2019 to May 2022. Caroline contributed to advanced research in computational first-principles Density Functional Theory under the guidance of principal investigator Jeffrey Neaton. Prior roles include serving as a technical solutions engineer at Epic and multiple academic positions at Haverford College, including research assistant and teaching assistant. Caroline holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Scientific Computing from Haverford College and completed a program at Y Combinator in early 2022.
