Adam Surak

Adam Surak is the Director of Infrastructure & Security at Algolia, a position they have held since July 2014. Prior to that, they were a teaching assistant at Tampere University of Technology from January 2013 to July 2014, where they were responsible for laboratory assistance in network courses for Master Degree students and also lectured and assisted in the Peer-2-Peer Networks course. In 2011, Adam Surak founded Creontech s.r.o., where they served as the CTO until August 2013. From April 2011 to July 2012, they worked as a Network Engineer at LanCraft, administering and architecting networks for Czech Republic's biggest esport LAN event. Adam Surak is also an angel investor.

Adam Surak's educational career includes a Master's degree in Information Technology from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Tampere University, and a High School Diploma from Gymnázium Mikuláše Koperníka Bílovec. Adam also has certifications from PagerDuty in Incident Responder, Coursera in Software Defined Networking, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner.
