David Soltis

Director, People & Culture at Algonquin College

David Soltis is the current Director of People & Culture at Algonquin College. Prior to their current role, David was the Director of Talent Acquisition and Employment Policy at Canada Post / Postes Canada from July 2010 to December 2020. In this role, David was responsible for leading the organization's talent acquisition strategy and employment policy initiatives. Prior to their role at Canada Post, David was a Consultant at gordongroup marketing + communications from August 2009 to September 2009 and at Calian from July 2007 to October 2007. David also has experience in training and e-learning, having served as the Manager of Training and E-Learning Services at the Ontario Telemedicine Network from March 2006 to July 2010. David's experience in both the public and private sectors makes him uniquely qualified to lead Algonquin College's People & Culture department.

David Soltis has an MBA from the University of Ottawa - Telfer School of Management, a Project Management Certification from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, a B.Ed. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto, and an M.A. in Theirtory from the University of Ottawa. David also has a B.A. (Honours) in Bachelor of Arts from Western University. David is certified by PROSCI Canada in PROSCI Change Management Certification, Scrum Alliance in Certified Scrum Product Owner, Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP), Ontario College of Teachers in Ontario College of Teacher Certification (OCT), ROI Institute in Certified Return on Investment Professional (CRP), and Canadian Society of Training and Development in Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP).

Their manager is Duane McNair, Vice President, Finance and Administration. David Soltis works with Brent Brownlee - Director Campus Services, Grant Perry - Director, Finance and Administrative Services, and Emily Woods - Director, Corporate Planning.
