Krista Pearson

Krista Pearson is the Registrar at Algonquin College. Krista has previously worked as the Dean of Enrolment Services, International, and Registrar at Sault College of Applied Arts & Technology, and as the Associate Vice President of Enrolment Management & Learner Services at Lethbridge College.

Krista is a highly experienced administrator with a proven track record in leading enrolment activities, recruitment, admissions, registrations, records, and reporting. Krista has also launched international education programs and played a key role in strategic planning and initiatives at both Sault College and Lethbridge College.

Krista is a committed and passionate educator who cares deeply about their students and their success. Krista is excited to be back at Algonquin College, where they first began their career in the Registrar’s Office.

Krista Pearson has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Studies -- Sociocultural Political Contexts of Education from Lakehead University, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction from Nipissing University, and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Secondary Education and Teaching from Acadia University. Krista also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Advanced Double Major: English and Political Science from Dalhousie University. In addition, they have certification from APMG International as a Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), from Algonquin College Corporate Training as a Quality Project Management, and from Algonquin College Corporate Training as a Delivering Projects Using Scrum. Krista also has certification from APMG International in Change Management Foundations, from Colleges and Institutes Canada (previously ACCC) in National Executive Leadership Institute for Potential Vice Presidents, and from Human Resources Professional Association (Ontario) as a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
