Salam Madi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. In 1999, they started their career as a radio anchor at Radio of Tobruk. They then moved on to various roles in ALLIBYA FM, including Director of News and News Editor and Announcer. From 2009 to 2010, Salam worked as the World News Editor in Chief and News Anchor at ALLIBYA TV, managing a team and hosting a daily show. In 2012, they became involved in the Libyan out-of-country voting process, working as the Poling Center Manager and election staff member for the Libyan Constitutional Drafting Assembly elections. Salam also worked as a TV News Reporter for Sawatel, USA / Al Mayadeen media network from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, they took on roles at the Foreign Service Institute as an Arabic Language and Culture instructor and Libyan Dialect specialist. They also worked as a consultant for Middle East Broadcasting Networks and as a freelance entertainment reporter, host, and writer. Overall, Salam Madi has gained extensive experience in journalism, broadcasting, election processes, and language instruction.
Salam Madi's education history begins in 1992 when they attended the University of Benghazi. From 1992 to 1996, Salam pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government. Following their undergraduate studies, Salam went on to study at Tripoli University from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they obtained a Masters of Arts degree in International Law. Salam's education journey continued at the American University from 2010 to 2012, where they completed a non-degree program in Diplomatic Training.
