Lakka Benti

Lakka Benti is an experienced professional in humanitarian assistance and international relations, currently serving as a Grant Analyst at Alight since March 2022. Previously, Lakka held positions as a Program Officer and Program Assistant at USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, focusing on the Central Africa portfolio. Lakka's background includes working as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at American University, a Public Policy Associate at the African Union, and a Fulbright Scholar. Lakka's early career involved roles such as an Immigration and Refugee Intern at The Advocates for Human Rights and an intern in the Minnesota Office of the United States Senate. Lakka earned a Master of Arts in International Service with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with an emphasis in Public Relations from the University of Northwestern.
