Menuka Timsina

Menuka Timsina has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They started their career as a New Roots team member at the International Rescue Committee, where they worked collaboratively with a team to educate people about healthy and unhealthy food and distribute vegetables to those in need. They also gained journalism experience as a Journalism Intern at Media Enterprise Alliance/KDOL-TV, where they participated in team projects, wrote stories, shot footage, and edited movies using software like iMovie.

Following this, Menuka worked as a Team Lead at Victoria's Secret, where they led a sales team and ensured sales goals were met while providing excellent customer service. Additionally, they supervised operations, managed inventory, and maintained visual merchandising standards.

In 2016, Menuka transitioned to the medical field and became a Certified Phlebotomist at Bio Blood Components Inc. They collected blood donations from patients using various techniques for over three years before joining Carbon Health as a Medical Assistant. At Carbon Health, they greeted and prepared patients for appointments, recorded medical history, obtained vital signs, and administrated COVID-19 vaccinations.

In 2022, Menuka worked as a Medical Assistant at UCSF Health on a contract basis, supporting surgical procedures for patients with skin cancer. They assisted surgeons, prepared patients for surgery, and performed tasks such as taking vital signs and recording medical histories.

Currently, Menuka Timsina is employed as a Medical Assistant at Alignment Health. They provide high-quality care to members and contribute to the transformation of healthcare through deep physician partnerships and the use of proprietary technologies.
