Karen Econopouly

Karen Econopouly has a diverse work experience spanning over 16 years. Karen currently holds the position of Director, IT Compliance and System Resiliency at Alignment Health since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Welltok, a Virgin Pulse company, where they held various roles including Senior Director of Enterprise Risk & Compliance from July 2018 to January 2022, Director of Enterprise Risk Management from February 2016 to July 2018, and Consultant in Information Security and Risk from April 2015 to January 2016. Before Welltok, Karen worked at TriZetto, A Cognizant Company, as Associate Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management from March 2012 to March 2015, and as Manager of Business Continuity from November 2010 to March 2012. Karen also had experience working at Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI as Director of Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery from April 2007 to September 2010, and at FundQuest, Inc as IT Operations Manager from June 2006 to April 2007. Karen's early career also includes a role as Crisis Manager/Senior Project Manager at Fidelity Investments from February 2006 to June 2006.

Karen Econopouly obtained an undergraduate degree in Business from Bryant University. Karen also attended Northeastern University until 2002, although it is unclear if they completed a degree or field of study. In terms of certifications, Karen obtained the CCSFP from HITRUST in April 2016, the Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA in December 2013, the 200 Hour Hatha Yoga certification from Yoga Alliance in 2012, the CBCP from DRII in December 2008, and the PMP from PMI in December 2003.
