Kellan Passow has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. In 2012, while at St. Olaf College, they collaborated on the development and application of Jmol, an open-source molecular visualization software, for Proteopedia.org. In 2013, at Mayo Clinic, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow, focusing on the effects of microRNAs on metastatic phenotypes in colon cancer cell lines. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at the University of Minnesota, starting as a Research Assistant, where their work focused on the use of unnatural nucleosides and nucleotides as biological and chemical tools.
