Jason Brown

Jason Brown has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to disaster risk management and humanitarian assistance. Jason has worked with organizations such as Alinea International, Mercy Corps-Cardno US, and DFAT-AIFDR, where they held positions such as Partnership Director, Chief of Party, and DRM Training & Outreach Manager. Jason has also worked as an independent consultant, specializing in community development, human security, and monitoring and evaluation. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving disaster management capacity and resilience in the Asia-Pacific region.

Jason Brown earned their Bachelor of Asian Studies (Indonesia) from The Australian National University in 2000, with a focus on Bahasa Indonesia and Contemporary Asian Societies. Jason later pursued a Masters of International and Community Development at Deakin University from 2011 to 2014, specializing in International Development.
