Tony Xiao

Tony Xiao is the founder and CEO of Alka. Prior to Alka, Tony was at Segment as an engineering and growth lead. There, they shipped six apps to the app store in 1.5 years- two of which were launched at F8 2015 and used by millions of users. Tony also led iOS and analytics efforts and was the lead on Marco Polo iOS. Prior to Segment, Tony was at Marco Polo as a product and engineering lead. There, they also shipped six apps to the app store in 1.5 years with two being launched at F8 2015. Tony led iOS and analytics efforts and was the lead on Marco Polo iOS. Before Marco Polo, Tony was a student web/Android developer at Princeton University where they built and shipped a mobile banking frontend and backend that paid 200x more and earned 2-4% a year in FDIC-insured accounts. Tony has also interned at ZeroTurnaround and Memrise as a software development intern.Tony is also the CTO of Beam and co-founder/CEO of S10.

Tony Xiao completed their undergraduate studies at Princeton University, where they majored in economics and computer science. Tony then went on to attend Y Combinator, a startup accelerator.
