Murat K.

Murat K. is an experienced scientist with a strong background in neuroscience and biotechnology. Currently serving as Scientist 2 at Alkahest, Inc. since October 2020, Murat has progressed from Scientist 1 to this role. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral position at Gladstone Institutes, where research focused on the role of APOE4 in Alzheimer's disease, and a postdoctoral associate role at Scripps Research, concentrating on in vitro disease modeling using iPSCs. Murat has also held positions as a graduate fellow, where significant work on Syngap1 isoforms was conducted, and as a visiting researcher at The Rockefeller University, investigating neuronal differentiation. Academic credentials include a PhD in Neuroscience from Scripps Research and both a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Bilkent University in Materials Science and Nanotechnology and Molecular Biology and Genetics, respectively.
