Sarah Whelan

Sarah Whelan has extensive experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, currently serving as Associate Director of Strategic Sourcing at Alkermes since April 2020, where previous roles included Category Manager and Procurement Manager. Prior to Alkermes, Sarah held various positions at GSK from December 2016 to March 2020, including Procurement Manager for the US LOC and Commodity Buyer for Secondary Packaging. At Hyster-Yale Group, from January 2014 to December 2016, Sarah advanced through roles such as Commodity Manager and International Materials Planner. Earlier experience includes internships in brand development and public relations, as well as roles in inventory management and cyber-attack project work. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Supply Chain and Operations Management from North Carolina State University, supplemented by academic experience at WU Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2012.
