Naomi Vasconcelos de Freitas has a diverse range of work experience. Naomi began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the Federal University of Ceara in 2015. Naomi then transitioned to AUG Biotec, where they served as a Junior Human Resources Advisor and later as the Human Resources Director. During their time at AUG Biotec, they streamlined the training process for new staff members and significantly increased the number of recruitment applicants through the implementation of new strategies. In 2017, Naomi worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Embrapa, where they led a team of interdisciplinary students in executing various assays. Naomi then joined San Jose State University in 2019 as a Graduate Research Associate, focusing on studying the enhancement of endogenous repair pathways for Hemophilia A using the CRISPR/Cas-9 system. At San Jose State University, they also worked as an Instructional Student Assistant, providing support and guidance to undergraduate students in Basic Human Biology. Currently, Naomi holds the position of a Senior Research Associate at Allakos Inc, where they have taken on various roles, including Research Associate II and Research Associate.

Naomi Vasconcelos de Freitas has a strong educational background in the field of biotechnology. Naomi completed their Master's degree in Biotechnology from San Jose State University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Ceara, where they studied from 2012 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Naomi has also earned several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in their field. Naomi obtained a Six Sigma: Green Belt certification from LinkedIn in December 2019. Naomi also completed courses on Learning Minitab, Operational Excellence Foundations, and Six Sigma Foundations, all offered by LinkedIn and obtained in August 2019.
