Tsega Lema

Tsega Lema is an experienced professional currently serving as a Data Analyst Intern at Black Mamas ATX since August 2024. In addition, Tsega has been working as an Emergency Medical Technician at Allegiance Mobile Health since February 2023, and as a Course Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin since August 2022. Previous experience includes participation in a virtual shadowing program from July 2020 to May 2023, engaging with various healthcare professionals, and involvement in the BRAINtern Summer Program at Lenox Hill Neurosurgery, which also took place from July 2020 to May 2023. Additional roles include a Social Work Intern at Street Youth Ministry, Project Manager for Project Advance Austin, and Medical Assistant at Mediremote. Tsega is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at The University of Texas at Austin, expected to graduate in May 2025, and holds a certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician. Educational background also includes an Associate's degree in Biology from Richland Collegiate High School of Math Science Engineering.
