Bilingual Program & Partnership Specialist

We are so thrilled to start our recruitment process for a Bilingual Program & Partnership Specialist! We mean it when we say the Allen County Public Library is a place for everyone. Part of our new strategic plan included outreach and inclusion for communities that may not speak English as their first language.

This person will plan, coordinate and lead system-wide programming for patrons who speak languages other than English. They will also serve as the library's primary liaison with local organizations, cultural communities, and residents who use the target language and/or speak languages other than English.

This is a full-time, exempt position (40 hours per week). A fluency test will be a component of this interview process for final candidates.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Library Sciences or an equivalent degree in a relevant field (Language, Education, Social Services, Business, etc.); AND one (1) year of professional experience; OR
• Three (3) years of professional experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Indiana State Library Certification (LC5 level) within first three years of employment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay is $46K and up based on experience. Expected offer range between $46K - $55K depending on experience.
