Bertie Teessen

Bertie Teessen has extensive experience in the animal feed industry. They most recently worked as the Operations Director for Aqua Feed at Aller Aqua, starting in March 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Production Director for Aqua Feed at the same company, from June 2021 to March 2022. Before joining Aller Aqua, Bertie was the Factory Coordinator for Animal Feed Raw Materials at Bester Feed & Grain (Pty) Ltd from February 2020 to May 2021. They also worked as the Production Manager for Animal Feed Additives at Wisium in 2019. Prior to that, Bertie was the Chief Miller for Animal Feed at Olam from August 2017 to December 2018 and the Production Manager for Animal Feed at RCL FOODS from August 2010 to July 2017. They started their career at Kuipers Group, where they held the positions of Assistant Production Manager from July 2009 to July 2010 and Raw Material Manager from July 2008 to July 2009. Before that, they worked as a Control Room Supervisor for Animal Feed at RCL FOODS from January 2004 to June 2008.

Bertie Teessen's education history is as follows:

- In 2022, Bertie attended the Project Management Training Institute (PMTI) and completed the program "Project Management for Leaders."

- In the same year, Bertie also attended the African Milling School (Buhler) and obtained a degree in "Milling for Executives."

- In 2022, Bertie studied Feeds and Pet Food Extrusion at Texas A&M University.

- In 2021, Bertie completed a degree program in "Aquaculture Feed Extrusion, Nutrition & Feed Management" at Texas A&M University, focusing on Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences.

- In 2010, Bertie attended Nelson Mandela University and completed the "Supervisory Development Program NQF5" in Management.

- Also in 2010, Bertie studied "Storekeeping and Stock Control" with a specialization in Stock Management at Damelin.

Additionally, Bertie holds several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from MF Treinamentos, Hazard Identification Risk Assessment from RMC Training, Basic Maintenance on Scada from Systems Anywhere, Hazard Identification Risk Assessment (H.I.R.A) from Risk Management Consultants, Internal and Supplier Auditor Training from Wynleigh International, and Introduction into ISO 9000, also from Wynleigh International.
