SVP - Mortgage Warehouse Credit And Operations Manager at Alliance Bank of Arizona

Al Thuma has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades in the banking sector. Al began their career in 1985 at FDIC as a Supervisory Specialist, where they worked on bank closings and resolutions for over 12 years. In 1997, they joined FHLBNY as a VP of Credit Monitoring, a role they held until 2004. Al then moved to Indymac Bank, where they served as a VP of Credit from 2005 to 2009. At OneWest Bank, Al Thuma worked as a VP and Regional Manager in Loss Mitigation from 2009 to 2010. Al then joined Alliance Bank of Arizona, initially as a VP of Specialty Lending from 2011 to 2014, and later as an SVP of Mortgage Warehouse Credit and Operations Manager from 2015 onwards. Most recently, in 2019, Al Thuma joined Western Alliance Bank as an SVP and Division Chief Credit Officer, overseeing various credit lines related to national business lines.

Al Thuma earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the State University of New York Cortland in the years 1978 to 1982. Subsequently, from 1982 to 1983, Al Thuma pursued and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at West Virginia University.
