Mark Tjernagel

Mark Tjernagel is an accomplished financial executive with extensive experience in nonprofit and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Operations at Alliance Defending Freedom, Mark's previous roles include Treasurer/CFO of The Cru Foundation and Chief Financial Officer of Cru from 1991 to December 2024. Their expertise encompasses financial management, fundraising strategies, and oversight of complex financial operations, demonstrated through leadership positions such as Controller and Director of Accounting at Cru. Notably, Mark was a founding member and President of New Life Insurance, contributing to the oversight of captive management. Additionally, Mark held board positions with various organizations, including Chairman of the Board for Christian Leadership Alliance and Treasurer for The Kings College. Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
