Mel Batocabe

Mel Batocabe has extensive experience in research, education, and health services. Currently serving as a Research and Extension Personnel at the University of the Philippines Los Baños since January 2018, Mel also holds a long-term position as a Health and Business Specialist at Alliance In Motion Global Incorporated since November 2008. A freelance professional since 1991, Mel's diverse skill set includes roles as a layout artist, editor, writer, singer, pianist, and choral director. Previous positions include Extension Staff in charge of Publications at Palawan State University in 2013, and various academic roles at Adventist University of the Philippines from 2002 to 2012, culminating as Department Chair and Studio Manager. Additionally, Mel taught Social Science at Palau Mission Academy and served as a Research and Extension Personnel at the University of the Philippines Los Baños from 1999 to 2001. Mel's educational background includes a Master of Public Health from Adventist University of the Philippines, an Associate of Science in Health Science Education/Nursing, and a Bachelor of Science in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
