Dipak Patel

Dipak Patel has a strong background in the finance industry, with a focus on real estate investments. Dipak is currently working as a Managing Director - Private Alternatives at AllianceBernstein since 2022. Prior to this, Dipak was the Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Akshar Capital, a boutique investment platform, from 2013 onwards. At Akshar Capital, they managed over $4Bn of capital invested in more than $15Bn of direct real estate transactions. Before joining Akshar Capital, Dipak held various positions at reputable companies such as Slate Asset Management, Annaly Capital Management, BlackRock, Healthcare Management Partners, LLC, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup. Their roles at these companies involved sourcing and executing real estate investments and managing restructuring and bankruptcy assignments. Dipak Patel completed their MBA from The Wharton School between 2000 and 2002, specializing in Finance, Real Estate & Strategic Management. Before that, between 1992 and 1995, they earned a BS in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
