Jimmie Covington

Jimmie Covington has extensive work experience in the legal field. Jimmie is currently working as a Vice President, Counsel at AllianceBernstein since November 2020. Prior to this role, they held the position of Corporate & Securities Associate at Baker McKenzie from September 2016 to November 2020, where they advised clients on regulatory and corporate transactional matters. In 2015, they worked as a Summer Associate at Baker & McKenzie. Additionally, they have interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Jimmie also has experience working in legislative and program roles for various organizations, including a graduate fellowship for the New York State Assembly.

Jimmie Covington completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Africana Studies / History at the University at Albany, SUNY in 2009. In 2012, they obtained a Masters of Art degree in Africana Studies from the same university. From 2010 to 2011, they attended East China Normal University, focusing on International Business/Trade/Commerce. Jimmie then pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Howard University School of Law from 2013 to 2016.
