David Harrison has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. David began their career in 1996 at AstraZeneca as a Lead Annual Business Review Accountant. David then moved on to Aptium Oncology as a Financial/Strategy Analyst before returning to AstraZeneca as a Licensing Finance Manager. In 1998, they joined AstraZeneca Canada as a Financial Controller.
In 2002, Harrison returned to AstraZeneca as an Oncology Business Development Manager, where they played a significant role in evaluating and negotiating deals with various partners. David eventually became the Business Development Director, Oncology Search & Evaluation, responsible for evaluating in-licensing, co-development, and collaboration opportunities. Harrison also served as the Business Development Director, Corporate & Regional BD during their time at AstraZeneca.
Harrison's work in business development continued in other companies as well. David joined Mundipharma International Limited as a Senior Business Development Consultant and later took on the role of Interim BD Lead, Addiction Franchise. At C4X Discovery Ltd, they worked as a Business Development Lead, securing a partner for the company's selective Orexin-1 receptor antagonist program for substance use disorders.
Harrison also had a stint as a Business Development Consultant at Carrick Therapeutics before joining Redx Pharma as the Business Development Director, Oncology. During their time at Redx, they led outlicensing and collaboration activities for the oncology pipeline and successfully completed research collaborations and asset divestments with Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
Most recently, Harrison joined Alligator Bioscience AB as the Head of Business Development.
David Harrison attended The Manchester Grammar School for an unspecified period of time. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at the University of Oxford from 1986 to 1990.
