Vinod Gidvani-Diaz

Vinod Gidvani-Diaz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Vinod began their career in 2006 as a Medical Reviewer at the Medical Review Institute of America, Inc. and subsequently held similar roles at Advanced Medical Reviews, AllMed Healthcare Management, and Permedion.

In 2013, Vinod joined the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences as a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics. Vinod then transitioned to Mitchell MCN Medical Consultant in 2019, where they served as an Independent Medical Reviewer.

Vinod's career progressed further when they joined Methodist Children's Hospital San Antonio in 2017. Here, they held the positions of Medical Advisor Utilization Management and COG Principal Investigator until 2022.

In 2020, Vinod took on the role of Medical Director - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Pediatric Specialists of Texas/Methodist Children's Hospital. Vinod held this position until the end of 2021.

Moving forward, Vinod is set to join HCA Healthcare in 2023 as the HCA Denials Medical Director.

Throughout their career, Vinod has also held the position of Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist at Methodist Healthcare System and served as a Division Physician Advisor. Additionally, they have experience as a Medical Reviewer at various organizations.

Vinod Gidvani-Diaz's education history begins with their high school education at South San Francisco High School from 1986 to 1988. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Toxicology at the University of California, Davis from 1988 to 1992. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended the Uniformed Services University and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree between the years 1992 and 1996. Subsequently, Vinod completed their Pediatric Residency at Keelser Medical Center, Keesler AFB, MS, from 1996 to 1999. Finally, they underwent a Fellowship in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the National Capital Consortium/Walter Reed AMC from 2002 to 2005.
