Melissa Cooper

Melissa Cooper has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Melissa is currently the Vice President of HR at Allogene Therapeutics, where they previously held the roles of Executive Director and Senior Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining Allogene Therapeutics, Melissa worked as the Director of Human Resources at Kite Pharma for four years. Melissa also served as the Director of Human Resources and Legal Counsel at SnackNation (formerly HUMAN Healthy Vending) for two years. Melissa is also a Co-Owner/Founder of Milk & Krunchies, a company they started in 2007. Before entering the HR field, Melissa worked as an Associate Counsel at Johnson Controls and as an Associate at Allen Matkins.

Melissa Cooper has a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Duke University School of Law. Melissa also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to their educational background, Melissa has obtained several certifications including "Fostering Belonging as a Leader" from LinkedIn in June 2023, "Executive HR Education Program" from Biocom California in October 2022, "Diversity and Inclusion for HR" from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in September 2022, "Textio Interrupting Bias in Hiring Certification" from Textio in 2022, and "Leadership Development for HR Professionals" from the Center for Creative Leadership in February 2017.
