Research Strategy And Operations, Co-lead Of Research at Allogene Therapeutics

Tom Schulz is an accomplished professional in the field of cell and molecular biology with extensive experience in research strategy, operations, and development of advanced cell culture processes. Currently serving as Co-Lead of Research in Research Strategy and Operations at Allogene Therapeutics since September 2021, Tom has previously held key positions including VP of Manufacturing Sciences and Senior Director of Process Development at Platelet BioGenesis, as well as various leadership roles at ViaCyte, where major contributions were made to the development of pancreatic endoderm cells for clinical trials. Educational credentials include a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and a BSc with Honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Adelaide. Tom's career is marked by a strong focus on human embryonic stem cell technologies and scalable solutions for cell banking and differentiation.
