Davide Schiavone

Davide Schiavone is a biotechnology professional who currently serves as the Director and Head of GEO Core at Alloy Therapeutics. Davide has also worked as a Scientist at AstraZeneca and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB).

Schiavone has over seven years of experience in the field of biotechnology. Davide has expertise in the generation of complex transgenic animal models and the use of CRISPR and other state-of-the-art technologies for the genome editing of cell lines and primary human and animal cells.

Schiavone’s research has focused on the analysis of the molecular mechanisms responsible for the onset of epigenetic instability in DNA-repair deficient cells, as well as the characterisation of the mechanisms by which specific histone variants influence antibody diversification. Davide'swork has been published in prestigious journals such as EMBO J and Mol Cell.

In their current role at Alloy Therapeutics, Schiavone is responsible for leading the company’s efforts in genetically engineering organisms. Davide is also responsible for managing the company’s molecular biology team.

Davide Schiavone has a Master's degree from the University of Turin in Molecular Biotechnology and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Turin.
