Angelos Keromytis is currently the John H. Weitnauer, Jr. Chair Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar. Angelos is also the President and Co-Founder of Voreas Laboratories Incorporated. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Co-Founder and Advisor of Allure Security Technology, Inc., a leader in Data Loss Alerting technology. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Symantec Research Labs Europe and a Founder of StackSafe Inc. from 2005 to 2009. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Visiting Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research. From 2001 to 2013, they were an Associate Professor at Columbia University, where they were elected an ACM Distinguished Scientist in 2012. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Program Manager at the DARPA, where they created several programs, including Transparent Computing, Leveraging the Analog Domain for Security, and Enhanced Attribution. Angelos was also a PADI Master Instructor from 2009 to 2011.
Angelos Keromytis completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Panepistimio Kritis from 1991 to 1996. Angelos then went on to the University of Pennsylvania where they obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science in 1997 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science in 2001.
