Ms. Merrill grew up in Rhode Island and attended Boston College where she earned a bachelors in history and communications. After graduation, she joined a teacher residency program in Chicago and taught 4th grade while earning her masters degree in Elementary Education from Northwestern University. After four years of teaching in Chicago she relocated back to Boston where she worked in schools around the city, including teaching in Boston Public Schools. In 2015 she made a shift out of the classroom and began working to recruit great teachers for charter schools in Providence, RI. In the Spring of 2019 Ms. Merrill started at Alma del Mar at the Director of Talent. Outside of work she loves biking, podcasts, and reading with her young daughter.
