Darren Thomas

Darren Thomas, Ph.D, FRSC has over 25 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Darren is currently the Vice President of Analytical Operations at Almac Group, a contract development and manufacturing organization in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. Prior to this, Darren served as a Bain External Advisor at Bain & Company and held positions such as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Arch Sciences Group. Darren also worked as a Regional Services Manager at Waters Corporation, a Global Business Line Manager at Crane ChemPharma & Energy, and held leadership positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Applied Biosystems. Darren's expertise lies in strategic planning, product management, marketing, and business development. Darren holds a Ph.D in Analytical Science and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Darren Thomas, Ph.D, FRSC, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Honours Chemistry from the University of Wales, Cardiff, where they graduated with a 2.1 degree in 1989. Darren then pursued their Ph.D in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry at Swansea University from 1989 to 1992. In 2012, Darren attended Columbia Business School for executive education in Strategic Marketing Management. Additionally, they achieved the certification of Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry from the Royal Society of Chemistry in December 2021.
