Yusuf Eshqi Molan has a diverse work experience in the field of remote sensing and data analysis. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Remote Sensing Data Analyst at Madan Karan Angouran Company, where they were responsible for processing optical remote sensing data for mineral mapping and generating mineral potential maps. In 2009, they joined the Geological Survey of Iran as a Remote Sensing Data Scientist, where they developed algorithms and processed optical remote sensing data for environmental and geological mapping.
In 2010, they became a Faculty Member at Sahand University of Technology, focusing on algorithm development for hyperspectral remote sensing data analysis. During this time, they also conducted research in algorithm development and optical remote sensing data processing for various applications.
Yusuf then joined Southern Methodist University, first as a Research and Teaching Assistant, where they worked on algorithm development for decorrelation analysis and modeling, and later as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where they contributed to research projects involving InSAR coherence modeling and statistical properties of multi-looked pixels.
In 2020, they joined Cornell University as a Postdoctoral Associate, working on Permanent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) and InSAR analysis projects. Yusuf contributed to the development and processing of InSAR algorithms and also worked on PSI and InSAR analysis using Sentinel-1 and TerraSAR-X data for mapping and monitoring surface displacements.
Yusuf's most recent work experience is at Aloft Sensing, Inc. where they hold the position of Senior Research Engineer starting in 2023.
Yusuf Eshqi Molan's education history includes completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Radar Remote Sensing from Southern Methodist University. This was achieved from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Exploration, Optical Remote Sensing from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic. Moreover, Yusuf Eshqi Molan began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Exploration, Optical Remote Sensing from Sahand University of Technology, which they completed from 2002 to 2006.
