Kristin Gates, RHIT, has extensive experience in health information technology and coding. Currently serving as an Epic Optimizer at Alomere Health since October 2016, Kristin acts as a liaison between the EMR vendor and users, managing issue resolution, updates, and optimization of the electronic medical record system. Prior to this role, Kristin held positions at Sanford Health as a Coding Denials Analyst and Corporate Compliance Analyst, and worked at Essentia Health as a Physician Coding Educator, focusing on coding education and auditing medical records. Kristin holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Registered Health Information Technology from Minnesota State Community and Technical College, earned between 2008 and 2011.
