Monica B.

Monica B. is an experienced education developer and teaching artist, currently working at the Judicial Council of California since September 2021. With a long tenure at Alonzo King LINES Ballet since 2003, Monica B. has also held various roles at the Academy of Art University from February 2013 to June 2021, including major-specific graduate curriculum coordinator and liaison for the school of graphic design. Previous experience includes serving as an artist in residence at Ruth Asawa SF School of the Arts and teaching English as a second language at American Academy of English and City College of San Francisco. Monica B. began a teaching career in the San Francisco Unified School District from 2002 to 2006. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from San Francisco State University. Additional educational experiences include studies at City College of San Francisco and the International Language Institute in Cairo, Egypt.
