H. Gunner Deery II, M.D.

H. Gunner Deery II, MD, has extensive experience in the field of infectious diseases, currently serving as an Infectious Diseases and Wound Care physician at Alpena Regional Medical Center since 1984 and as an Infectious Diseases physician and Hospital Epidemiologist at McLaren Northern Michigan since 1982. Deery II's previous roles include working as an Infectious Diseases/Internal Medicine physician at Burns Clinic Medical Center from 1982 to 1999 and serving as a consulting physician at Gratiot Community Hospital from 1992 to 1994. An educator as well, Deery II was an instructor at the University of Michigan Medical School from 1980 to 1982, contributing to the development of the Clinical Skills Program. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Michigan Medical School, a Master's degree in Immunogenetics from Northern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as prior studies at the University of Southern California.
