Jasmine Wilson

Principal Data Scientist at Alpenglow Biosciences

Jasmine Wilson has extensive work experience in the field of data science and research. Jasmine is currently working as a Principal Data Scientist at Alpenglow Biosciences since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Washington from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they co-led the development and implementation of data science pipelines for single cell sequencing data and collaborated with other institutions to integrate multi-level data.

Before joining the University of Washington, Jasmine worked as a Research Officer at The Robinson Research Institute from 2018 to 2021. Jasmine'sresponsibilities included implementing dimensional reduction software and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to identify immunoregulatory factors in reproductive biology.

Jasmine also had a brief tenure as an Invited Lecturer at the University of Adelaide in 2019 and held multiple roles at the same university from 2016 to 2018, including Biochemistry II course tutor and Biology Laboratory Instructor. Jasmine started their research career with a research internship at the University of Adelaide from 2009 to 2015.

Jasmine Wilson has a strong educational background in the field of immunology. Jasmine obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Immunology from the University of Adelaide, starting in 2017 and completing it in 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Immunology at the same institution from 2015 to 2017. In their early years, Jasmine completed their Bachelor of Science Advanced degree from the University of Adelaide, specializing in Microbiology, Immunology, and Biochemistry, which they finished between 2011 and 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Jasmine has also pursued further certification to enhance their skills. In 2018, they completed the course "Introduction to Bash: Using the terminal for bioinformatics" offered by the University of Adelaide Bioinformatics hub. Most recently, in February 2022, they obtained a certification in "Machine Learning Zoomcamp" from DataTalksClub.
