Leslie Emery

Leslie Emery is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in clinical trials, data analysis, and biostatistics. Currently serving as a Principal Data Scientist at Bristol Myers Squibb since July 2020, Leslie has focused on creating dashboards and visualizations for biomarker data quality and developing R packages to enhance data accessibility in research. Prior to this role, Leslie was a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, consulting for an HR technology firm and employing NLP techniques for text analysis. Leslie's career began at the University of Washington, where contributions as a Research Scientist Engineer 4 involved creating workflows for data management and applications for health measurement data. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the same institution, Leslie developed efficient data analysis pipelines and conducted research on human genetic data. Leslie holds a B.A. in Biology from Alfred University and a Ph.D. in Genome Sciences from the University of Washington.
