Alvaro Gonzales has a diverse work experience. Alvaro started their career as a Small Arms Technician in the United States Marine Forces Reserve in 2013 and served until 2019. Alvaro then worked as a JRA Security Officer at the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services from 2018 to 2020.

In terms of accounting and finance roles, Alvaro worked at multiple CPA firms. From 2019 to 2021, they had internships and positions as an Assurance Intern and Staff Accountant, gaining experience in audits, reviews, compilations, and employee benefit plan audits. Alvaro worked with non-profit, manufacturing, and agribusiness clients, gaining knowledge in financial statement line items such as cash, accounts payable/receiving, inventory, long-term debt, and revenue.

In 2021, Alvaro joined PwC as an Experienced Assurance Associate, specializing in Private Company Services. Alvaro has worked with various clients in the agribusiness, wine, manufacturing, technology, and retail industries. Alvaro has also been involved in connecting their team with prospective clients in eastern Washington & Oregon.

Alongside their professional career, Alvaro has been actively involved with ALPFA, Inc - Association of Latino Professionals For America. Alvaro served as the ALPFA Seattle Board of Directors - Executive VP of Business Development from 2022 onwards. From 2018 to 2020, they were the CWU Student Chapter founding President.

During their time at Central Washington University, Alvaro worked as an Alumni Research Assistant, a Budget & Budget Development Intern through the STEP Up program, and as an intern in Contracts & Procurement and Internal Audit. Additionally, they had a temporary position as a Staff Accountant at Legacy Fruit, LLC.

Alvaro Gonzales completed their Associate in Business degree at Yakima Valley College from 2015 to 2017. Alvaro then pursued a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Economics & Business Administration with a focus on Finance at Central Washington University from 2017 to 2020.
