James Freeman is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in crisis intervention and substance abuse counseling. Currently serving as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor Intern at Alpha Healing Center since December 2016, James focuses on holistic treatment modalities in an intensive outpatient program addressing co-occurring mental health disorders. Previous roles include working as a crisis screener for Legacy Treatment Services, where crisis evaluations for suicidal and homicidal intent were conducted, and offering counseling support at AAMH and Brook Glen Behavioral Hospital. James holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business Administration from Marist College.
