Eric Silkwood

Eric Silkwood has extensive work experience in the legal field, with a focus on mining and natural resources. Eric currently holds the position of Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Alpha Metallurgical Resources since February 2021. Prior to this, they held similar roles at Contura Energy and Alpha Natural Resources. Before their roles in the mining industry, they worked as an Attorney/Owner at Hardy Pence PLLC from 2014 to 2018, specializing in Mine Safety & Health. Eric also worked as an Attorney at Betts Hardy & Rodgers, PLLC and Flaherty, Sensabaugh & Bonasso, PLLC. Eric started their legal career as an Intern at Kay, Casto & Chaney in 2002.

Eric Silkwood pursued their education in a diligent and structured manner. From 1998 to 2002, they attended West Virginia University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, with a specialization in Advertising. Following this, Eric furthered their academic pursuits at West Virginia University College of Law from 2003 to 2006, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
