Benjamin Goroshnik

Benjamin Goroshnik is a quantitative research intern at Alpha Theory, utilizing one of the most valuable datasets globally. As Co-President of the Carolina Poker Club, Benjamin leads programming for over 276 members and collaborates with top financial institutions. Serving as President of Velocity Labs, the only student-run algorithmic fund at UNC, Benjamin developed a deep learning trading algorithm that ranked in the top 1%. Previous experience includes internships at Citadel, PEAK6, Weaver Mine Capital Management, and a research position at The Burning Glass Institute, focusing on labor market publications. Additionally, Benjamin has held leadership roles at Zuul as Head of Innovation & Technology and participated in a focused options trading program at Akuna Capital. Benjamin is pursuing dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Statistics, as well as Computer Science, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
