Mark Eissler

Senior Software Engineer at AlphaFlow

Mark Eissler is a Senior Software Engineer at AlphaFlow. Prior to joining AlphaFlow, Mark was a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Valimail where he focused on the Platform team and contributed to several open source initiatives.

Mark joined his first startup in 1996: way before it was cool. Since then, he led engineering initiatives at several other startups, co-founded a strategic and interactive marketing agency in Seattle (Mixtur Interactive), and founded two startups in San Francisco (TapaTip and BiggerBuys).

Mark graduated with a BS in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland but had previously studied film and television production at Ryerson University in Toronto; Mark worked in commercial television production for several years before he switched things up and joined his first startup.

When not at the office, Mark sometimes contributes to open source, runs whenever there's time, goes on long hikes with the dog, spends time with the family, and has his eyes set on getting back into the visual arts through photography and video production. Oh yeah, he's also a really amazing cook.
