Kathy McGowan

Kathy McGowan has a wealth of experience in the financial, investment, and energy sectors. Kathy currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer at AlphaStruxure. Prior to that, they worked at Starwood Property Trust as Managing Director and Head of Underwriting & Portfolio Management. During their time there, they led the integration of GE EFS debt business into Starwood and was responsible for underwriting over $1 billion in new commitments and managing assets exceeding $2.5 billion. Kathy also sourced and negotiated funding facilities of $1.3 billion for new investments.

Before Starwood, Kathy held various roles at GE Energy Financial Services, including Managing Director and Head of Debt Underwriting and Portfolio Management, where they managed a portfolio of assets worth around $3 billion and advised the executive team. Kathy also served on the board of directors at Southern Star Central Corp and acted as Senior Vice President of Asset Management at GE Energy Financial Services, Inc.

Earlier in their career, Kathy worked at ABB Equity Ventures as the Head of Project Finance, where they were responsible for structuring and financing projects, and at ABB Power Generation as a Commercial Manager and Controller.
