Kevin Marquardt

Kevin Marquardt, MS, CIPM has a diverse range of work experience in the energy sector. Kevin is currently working as the Director of Energy Markets and Policy at AlphaStruxure, where they are responsible for designing, building, owning, operating, and maintaining tailored energy infrastructure. Prior to this, Kevin served as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Sentient Energy, where they had global regulatory and government affairs responsibility.

Before joining Sentient Energy, Kevin worked at CenterPoint Energy in various roles, including Manager of Regulatory Policy, Manager of Federal Policy, Manager of Data Privacy, Regulatory Analyst II, and Regulatory Analyst I. In these positions, they managed regulatory policies, advised on business impacts from regulations, laws, and policies, and developed and implemented privacy programs.

Kevin also has experience in the academic sector, having worked as a Program Coordinator at the University of Minnesota's Recycling Program. Additionally, they interned at the United States Senate for Senator Amy Klobuchar, where they focused on energy, environment, and military policy.

Earlier in their career, Kevin worked at Iowa State University as a Program Coordinator for the Farm to ISU program, which aimed to increase the university's purchases of local, organic, and alternative agricultural products. Kevin also served as an Independent Researcher, focusing on energy and waste.

Furthermore, Kevin gained research experience as a Research Intern at the Center on Sustainable Communities, where they worked on energy and building materials projects.

Kevin Marquardt received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies and Psychology, with a minor in Event Management, from Iowa State University from 2007 to 2011. Kevin then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2013. In 2018, Kevin obtained a certification in Certified Information Privacy Management (CIPM) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
